"The Ancestral Promise" is the notion that if one fulfills their purpose or errand on earth they break the cycle of reincarnation having completed their task assigned by their ancestors. This is belief of the Yoruba people, who also say that your ancestors who sent you here to complete a task will only return you after having completed it. Only at that time may you return to Orun and become an ancestor yourself.

One does not escape their destiny. The hero falls from above toward a cluster of police vehicles below. He falls from one situation into another, consumed by a system that want to see him fail.
